Alexis and Jared’s wedding near Sisters, Oregon was full of smiles, love, and intimate moments. Despite having a larger guest count, Alexis and Jared were able to enjoy all of the intimate details and conversations with the people they invited to attend their magical wedding day. When Alexis and Jared first reached out to me, they were so excited to plan a day that was beautiful, intentional, and a full-on dance party. Alexis and Jared came all the way from Arizona to host their wedding at the Lazy U Ranch – a beautiful property between Bend and Sisters that has hosted weddings in the past.

Alexis and Jared’s wedding weekend started on Friday with a beautiful welcome party with family and friends at Zydeco – Zydeco is a beautiful, delicious restaurant in downtown Bend that is the perfect spot to host a rehearsal dinner. Tammy, one of Jared’s mothers, chose to bring in the same colors and details for the welcome party as we chose for the wedding day. This was a gorgeous way to tie the events together. We especially loved seeing the disco balls making an entrance as an accent!

Getting Ready

After a gorgeous welcome dinner, it was time for the wedding day. Alexis began her day getting ready with her closest friends and bridesmaids. As a previous profession, Alexis was a cheerleader for the San Francisco 49ers. After getting her makeup done professionally so many times, she knew that her makeup artist was one of the important investments she wanted to make. Alexis chose the amazing Mercedes Artistry – Mercedes is a great option for a high scale look – just look at the photos!

Pre-Wedding Events

Through first looks, wedding party photos, and charcuterie set ups, Alexis and Jared were able to be fully present for their wedding day with our planning package. While the Daisy and Sun team and vendors were working hard on creating a beautiful wedding setup, Alexis, Jared, and their families were able to soak in all of the moments.

Wedding Ceremony + Cocktail Hour

Alexis and Jared’s wedding ceremony consisted of the most supportive wedding party, a flower girl in a Mercedes, and beautifully-written vows. This couple chose the bridal entrance song a few weeks before the wedding, and they knew it was the right choice when they heard it play at the ending of their church visit the week prior. Everything fell together perfectly and there were so many signs from the universe that this was truly meant to be.

What an entrance! In one of the inital planning calls with Alexis and Jared, they knew they wanted their event to feel upscale and classy. They loved the idea of a champagne tower, but they weren’t the biggest fans of champagne. When Daisy + Sun suggested espresso martinis instead of champers, Jared leaped at the opportunity. We loved getting to see them enjoy this moment together right after their grand entrance.

Reception

There is one word to describe A+J’s reception: PARTY! Complete with dancing, delicious food and drinks, and dance party props, this was one of the most lively dance floors we were able to see. The highlight of the night was the Greek plate-throwing dance. Alexis came to us with the idea of having the traditional Greek dance and we were instantly excited – incorporating family cultures is one of the best parts of being a designer. We were so stoked to see this idea come to life.
