Madison and Kieran’s wedding day was full of happy tears, excited anticipation, crazy lightning storms, homemade cheesecake and delicious donuts, and ended with dancing and incredible rain.
Madison and Kieran were one of the sweetest couples we’ve had the pleasure of working with. Madison is a full-time nursing student (she was even in a school term during their wedding!) and has a literal heart of gold.
M+K’s day started at a beautiful airbnb where Madison got her hair and makeup done alongside her closest friends and family, they shared their first look, and took gorgeous pictures like this one (Dev Allie Photo is one of the best photographers you’ll ever see):
Next, they headed to the venue. Once they arrived, they fully soaked in their beautiful day unfolding in front of them. All of the planning and little details had come together, and it was magical. Full of beautiful greenery, full ceremony florals, delicious snacks, and a fun disco-ball inspired dance floor. We loved seeing this vision come together.
As they lined up for their wedding processional, there was so much excitement in the air. Full of beautiful bridesmaid dresses, groomsmen florals, and more, Madison and Kieran watched the final few moments unfold before their ceremony where they would finally become married. Madison walked down the aisle with her brother and looked as stunning as ever. Just look at her smile!
After a ceremony filled with beautiful readings and vows, their guests lined up in a half-circle on the lawn of The Old Schoolhouse to greet the newlyweds. While Mr. and Mrs. Coleman were introduced to Barbara Ann by The Beach Boys, guests anticipated a fun greeting to the couple. M+K each walked around the half-circle to greet, chat with, and take quick photos with their guests. It was a truly beautiful moment.
They ended their grand entrance and kicked off their reception with a fun champagne tower. Complete with a beginning lightning storm and thank you toasts, we loved watching the couple share a quick drink alongside each other.
Next up was our favorite part – the toasts. While we have mixed feelings when it comes to toasts, these were some of the best ones that we had heard yet! Dessia, Kieran’s sister, wrote the most beautiful toast we have ever heard. Complete with sweet childhood anecdotes and loving stories of the first time meeting Madison, as well as everything their relationship represents to her, it truly was beautifully written. Katelynn was lucky to hear the full version prior to the grand entrance while helping with a slight wardrobe malfunction. (Dessia, if you’re reading this, we really think you could be a writer.)
Next up – cheesecake cutting.
The couple moved indoors after a crazy, beautiful, but too-close-to-trees lightning storm. THE PHOTOS were absolutely amazing. Dev Allie Photo, once again, KILLED.
Kieran’s father, Andy, had an amazing idea to fully personalize a common wedding reception tradition after hearing M+K weren’t going to cut a traditional wedding cake. He was determined to make a beautiful homemade cheesecake, complete with a customized topper and a knife that had a great personal element to the Coleman family. After they cut the cheesecake, guests were free to indulge in delicious Blue Star Donuts – we tried the donut bites and were officially in love. While an orange dreamsicle donut doesn’t sound like it would be perfectly represented in a donut, we assure you it definitely is!
And finally – dancing.
Madison and Kieran shared their first dance under a bountiful disco ball and in front of a disco-filled mirror. We love watching the couple share their first dance, and this one was a very sweet one. Daisy + Sun met Kieran first at a past wedding they coordinated in September 2022 while he was a groomsman, and it was such a full-circle moment watching him go from groomsmen to groom and dancing with his new wife.
After their first dance, Madison and Kieran joined in emphatic dancing alongside all of their guests, complete with LED sparklers and donuts!
M+K’s day was a beautiful, electric, and fun-filled wedding complete with lots of love and laughter. We are honored to have been part of such a beautiful wedding experience for Madison and Kieran.
