Amanda and Jed are one of the most fun couples that I have had the pleasure of working with. Amanda reached out to me in December of 2021 looking for a coordinator and I was super excited to work with her and her vision – fall colors and a fall vibe was what she was going for and she definitely met that by going all out – terracotta runners on the farm tables, large and small pumpkins mixed throughout the venue space, and even a pumpkin guestbook.
Magari Estate was a perfect fit for her vision. It consisted of a ceremony space that fit with the rustic theme, an indoor barn for the reception, a patio for the cocktail hour, and my favorite part – the vintage couches that were placed throughout the short walk from the ceremony to the barn. Sosa Media used these couches beautifully for photo opportunities – one of my favorite photos being the bridesmaids and Amanda sitting on one of the couches.
Now to the actual wedding day: getting ready was filled with jokes and laughter in the groom’s suite and tears and rowdiness in the bridal suite. Seeing how much care and support their family and friends provided them with was one of the things that brought the charm to their wedding day. As guests filtered into the ceremony seating, there was a beautiful greenery-enhanced champagne wall that guests could grab drinks from as they waltzed past the vintage couches and all the gorgeous scenery the venue had to offer. Once the ceremony began, the jitters seceded and emotions ran wild as the bride and groom were finally gearing up to see each other. I gotta tell ya, one of my favorite parts of a wedding day are seeing the emotions on the couple’s face as they see each other for the first time, and this wedding day was one of my favorite reactions. After a short and sweet ceremony, Amanda headed back into the bridal suite for a surprise for her new husband – a complete haircut!! As she got inches upon inches of her hair chopped off, the bridesmaids and groomsmen practiced their grand entrance; the bridesmaids decided to ice the guys while Jed waited to see the surprise Amanda had for him. Once he saw her, they embraced and prepared for their grand entrance.
Next up: dinner. Amanda and Jed had expressed wanting barbecue food to me once we first began chatting, and the food was delicious (thanks, Event Advantage!). Drinks were pouring just in time for speeches. Their friends and family made speeches and the most tearful one, by far, was the one made by Amanda’s grandfather. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place. After speeches, Amanda and Jed cut their pie and mini pies were served to their guests. The first dances commenced and after that, it was officially party time. The saying of the night from the wedding party and especially the bride was to “Get Rowdy” and they did just that. People danced on the dance floor for the remainder of the night and they definitely got rowdy.
Over all, this wedding was filled with beautiful moments that perfectly suited Amanda and Jed, and it is one that Daisy and Sun will cherish for a long time.
