Katie’s sister, Lindsay, reached out to me in December of 2021 after she searched through my Instagram and liked my style – that in itself was one of the sweetest things I’ve heard. Lindsay is definitely one of Katie’s best friends, so her opinion obviously held a lot of weight.
Katie and I had a quick bond – one of the reasons being that our first name’s were spelt the exact same (doesn’t seem that important but when your name is Katelynn and every single other person around you spells it in several different ways, it’s cool to see someone that has the same spelling haha). Katie is sweet, funny, kind, and relaxed. Her now husband, Travis, is an amazing and kind guy as well, and he’s definitely got some good jokes. They’re both a really good time and love to have fun, especially together.
Pre-wedding, the vibes in the suites were so calm; I had never seen a bride and groom so incredibly calm in the moments before their first look. During the first look, Katie and Travis shared a very sweet and intimate moment where Travis teared up at the sight of his wife. It was definitely one of the most genuine parts of the day.
After a quick ceremony, Katie and Travis geared up to party. They began with a very grand entrance alongside their wedding party, necessarily equipped with a money gun. Next, they enjoyed the excellent grazing table and meal prepared by Polish Cowboy, which I have to say myself, was delicious. They danced, mingled with friends and family, and really enjoyed their time together as newlyweds while also enjoying the over 200 guests around them.
Lindsay’s speech was probably one of my favorite parts of the day (I am a big speech person!) – one thing that she mentioned was how she had a dream the night before Travis proposed to Katie; Lindsay messaged him and mentioned the dream and asked if he was proposing – all he responded with was “tf” and that’s how she knew her sister was going to get married in the coming months.
One unique thing that Katie did was have her father, Allen, make his speech last, and after his speech, they went straight into their father-daughter dance. First, the crowd had tears from Allen’s speech, and then they had tears from their dance. Allen and Katie have a very special and sweet bond with each other, and it was stunning to see it in person after hearing about it over the phone.
After their hours dancing, taking photos in the photo booth, and enjoying their last moments of their wedding day, Katie and Travis lined up for their sparkler exit. They ran through their friends and family’s lightened-up walkway and sealed the night with a dip and a kiss.
Katie and Travis’s wedding day was incredibly special, and we are so happy we got to have it as our last wedding of 2022.
