Salem, OR | R+G’s Whispering Firs Styled Elopement

A beautiful outdoor venue, lots of laughs, and Dominos pizza, as well as two amazing models, several fun vendors, and a gorgeous tablecloth. 

Our team had an idea to do a bold, spring, colored wedding theme. Most people stick to the boho vibe when it comes to planning weddings and we wanted to do something a little more untraditional. We wanted to just make the overall theme all inclusive, since all of the shoots we have been involved in so far have been with straight couples. 

We got to planning making mood boards with some general ideas, and we just couldn’t decide on a couple main colors, so we decided – why not do them all? Once we saw the outline, we were hooked and knew we had to start planning the shoot. So, we got to finding a venue, vendors, and all of the rental items that she would need. 

But then we needed to find the models. Thankfully, Darla from Darla Maxine Photoraphy was super helpful in finding models! They were so beyond kind and the love they had for each other was literally glowing off of them. I honestly couldn’t have imagined anyone better. Daralyn styled Rachel’s hair and makeup and lets just say that she looked absolutely STUNNING!!! Glynn’s suit with the yellow floral tie made them definitely pop with the colors of Rachel’s wildflower veil. 

The whole day was spent having so much fun and making some super fun memories! There are times in your life when you have a realization that the people you are around are kind, sweet, and are easy to have a truly good time and this was definitely one of those times. We had fun talking, sipping on mocktails and cocktails, decorating the tablescape, making charcuterie cups, and enjoying all the company. While this shoot was intended to be a shoot that allowed creative freedom and a new style, we also used it as a way to make new friends.
