How to Make Your Wedding Not Feel Like a Trend

There are many new trends that come and go, but some people don’t want their wedding to feel like everyone else’s. Trends come from everywhere social media, friends, commercials, and just around town. Seeing things from every aspect of your life can cause you to add things into your wedding planning that you look back on and say “Wow, this looks like a basic tik tok wedding.” Do you want your wedding to look like everyone else’s? Probably not!! So let’s talk about some things that can help you not add those wacky news trends into your wedding.

So there are many ways that you can avoid trends. One of the ways is to think about what you truly want. Even if you think some people aren’t going to approve or think it is unnecessary. If you want to take a unity shot, then take a damn unity shot! There are ways to avoid the trends just by being you and thinking about all the things that you want to add without going back onto your social media. 

Some of the trends going around right now are weekday weddings, doing things for tiktok or instagram, wild welcome parties, over the top cakes and cake toppers, statement aisles, wedding hashtags, signature cocktails, and fireworks. All of those are the trends of 2023. However, if you are interested in any of those, don’t feel like it is a bad thing. Your wedding is between you and your partner so if you want some things that are just basic then obviously you should incorporate those. But, you may also want to steer away from certain things if you are wanting to avoid all the trends at your wedding. 

In order to make sure your wedding doesn’t just feel like a trend is to make it you!!! Do the color scheme that you want, do the tablescape that you want to do, and make the aisle the way that you want to do it. If you add your personal creativity to your wedding then you don’t have to worry about your wedding being like anyone else’s. 

The only ways to make your wedding be completely like a trend is to go off of all the tiktoks or social media posts that you see! Always make your special day unique to you! Who the hell cares what other people think!?!? Those are ways to make your wedding not feel like a trend and to ensure that you are beyond happy with the decisions that you made for your wedding.
