Tori and Anthony were one of the sweetest couples we have had the pleasure to work with. Tori came to me after being recommended by one of my favorite DJ’s – DJ Skrubb. Originally, Tori wasn’t planning on having a coordinator for her event. However, after going through the planning process, she realized how needed it was for her to relax and breathe on her wedding day. Her mom is also a coordinator for a venue in the Portland area, so she knows first-hand what goes into a wedding day. We absolutely loved working with her.
When Tori reached out to me in December 2022, I could already tell how kind and considerate she was. Once we hopped on that consultation call together, we instantly clicked and connected. Tori reminds me a lot of the members on the Daisy + Sun team, so it was so easy to chat with her! This continued throughout the process via text messages, emails, and calls. It was like chatting with a friend.
Once we got to her wedding day, there was this overwhelming sense of calm in the air. Everything was quiet, peaceful, and perfect. Tori was cool, calm, and collected. Everything went smoothly, not just in the morning, but throughout the entire day. It’s pretty rare for things to go perfectly on time during a wedding day, but this wedding day was perfectly on time every second and moment of the day. We love when this happens because it makes everything feel so much more smooth and peaceful. It’s always nice not to feel rushed as well!
Tori and Anthony had an amazing vendor team. One of our favorite new vendors we got to work with on this wedding was Jeff with Bar Truck PDX. He was kind, professional, and his truck was such a cool decor accent as well as being a fully functional bar.
We also got to work alongside one of our favorite florists, Pretty Petals Floral Design, and she absolutely killed the florals for this wedding. Tori wanted a very boho, terracotta vibe for her wedding design, and Megan delivered. She made beautiful bouquets for the bridal party, and Tori was so excited to be able to get them preserved after her wedding.
One of the most beautiful pre-wedding events that happened was Tori and Anthony’s first look. At Mountain View Weddings, there is a beautiful dock on the water that is just long enough to have a gorgeous first look moment on. With the fountain going in the background, Anthony and Tori got to see each other for the first time that day and there were lots of happy tears as they saw each other. It was one of our favorite parts of the day. First looks are such a great moment for the couple (and the timeline (; ). It was such a great moment to be able to witness.
Next up – dinner.
Tori and Anthony hired Rip City Grill, a tasty and flavorful catering company out of Sandy. It was one of my favorite meals to eat on a wedding day. I can’t wait to use their services again!
Tori and Anthony did something a little bit more unique than what I typically see for a reception. They had a short wedding reception with their family and older guests, but as soon as they left, they really busted out the dance moves and the music. It was so much fun to watch them dance with their closest friends and we made sure to use up their polaroid film with fun photos of them and their friends dancing, chatting, and enjoying their time.
This wedding was one of our favorites, and while we are so sad to not be working with T+A anymore, we are so happy for them and how well their wedding day went.
Thank you to the amazing vendor team:
