The best month to get married in Oregon can definitely vary, but we highly recommend sometime between late May and early October. June and September tend to be the best months for weather. August is a beautiful month, but tends to be the most smoky month for a big chunk of Oregon.
If you’re looking for an outdoor wedding (which, if you’re in Oregon, you most likely are), the weather can vary greatly. It’s definitely best for it not to be too hot, which is what makes June a good time! It cools down in the evenings and makes for a lovely temperature. It might be a little warm during the afternoon, but it really is the best time! September is another great outdoor wedding month, but it might get a little too cool during the evening. We don’t recommend August for an outdoor wedding considering that most years, the smoke really takes over during this month.
June through August is peak season for tourism, so things like hotel fees and traffic are going to be higher. There are definitely more people in the area. We highly suggest looking into local events, such as major concerts (Taylor Swift, anyone?).
If you’re having an indoor wedding, honestly any area in Oregon is amazing at most times. The only thing you might want to consider is venue distance from the airport your guests are flying into/traveling from. Roads in Oregon during the winter can definitely be scary (especially if your guests aren’t used to driving in snowy/icy conditions), so definitely put that into consideration!
Overall, we believe June or September is the best month to get married in Oregon.
